Project Brief
Where Heritage Meets Precision
A centuries-old Norman farmhouse — timber frames, stone walls, irregular volumes. The kind of property that most contractors walk away from. We saw something else entirely.
The Vision
The brief was uncompromising: preserve every element of architectural character while delivering a home that performs at the highest level. No shortcuts. No compromises on materials. Every room designed as a standalone experience.
Execution
The exterior was rebuilt from the ground up — original stone façade restored, full-width sliding glass panels installed at ground level, exposed timber frames stripped and refinished, and a travertine stone terrace constructed with custom hardwood edging and open countryside views.
Inside, the ground floor was opened up entirely. Travertine floors run throughout. The original fireplace was preserved and framed by custom floor-to-ceiling joinery in sage green. The ceiling beam — solid oak, centuries old — was cleaned and left exposed as the centerpiece of the living space.
The upper floors were reimagined as a collection of private suites. The master suite spans the full width of the attic, with original timber structure painted white and a bespoke linen pendant suspended from the apex. The ensuite bathroom opens directly from the bedroom — double vanity in blush pink zellige tile, twin backlit oval mirrors, brushed copper fixtures, and a full tadelakt wet room with arched partition.
A second suite features a dedicated bathroom finished in floor-to-ceiling tadelakt, with a walk-in rain shower, wall-mounted WC, and brushed brass detailing throughout.
The Result
A complete transformation — interior and exterior — delivered on time, managed remotely for an international client. Every finish selected with purpose. Every detail built to last.
