Project Brief

From Office to Home

A former law firm on Avenue du Peuple Belge, Lille — completely converted into a residential apartment. Every partition, every layout decision, every surface was rethought to make a workspace feel like a home worth living in.

Design Approach

The bones of a professional space were stripped back and rebuilt from scratch. Open oak flooring runs throughout, unifying spaces that once had nothing in common. A custom island kitchen in matte anthracite with warm wood accents anchors the living area. The hallway — long, clean, with recessed lighting — connects every room with intention.

Craftsmanship & Finishes

Solid oak parquet. Matte anthracite cabinetry with integrated wine rack. Built-in bookshelf unit in the living room. Backlit mirror cabinet in the bathroom with undermount basin. Sage-toned walls in the corridors. Oversized windows preserved — flooding every room with northern light and rooftop views over Lille.

The Result

A space that carries none of the coldness of its past life. Warm, precise, and liveable — designed to feel like it was always meant to be a home.
